CATERING SERVICE POLICY
Our catering services are designed to provide seamless, elevated hospitality for every occasion.
Booking

A signed catering agreement and deposit are required to secure an event date.

Dates are not reserved until both have been received.
Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 30–50% is required upon booking.

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the event unless otherwise agreed upon.
Guest Count

Final guest count must be confirmed 10 days before the event.

Billing will be based on the confirmed guest count or the actual number served, whichever is greater.
Menu Changes

Menu adjustments are accepted up to 14 days before the event.

Changes requested after this period may not be accommodated and may incur additional charges.
Allergies
Clients are responsible for communicating guest allergies before the event.
While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Overtime
Service exceeding the contracted time will be billed at the agreed hourly rate for chefs, servers, bartenders, and event staff.
Rentals
Clients are responsible for any rental equipment lost, damaged, or not returned.
Venue Requirements
Clients are responsible for ensuring:

Adequate kitchen or prep space (if required)

Access to electricity and running water

Necessary permits (if applicable)

Venue access during agreed setup and breakdown times
Cancellation

Deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations within 30 days of the event may be responsible for up to 100% of the contracted amount depending on expenses already incurred.
Force Majeure
The 23rd Bite shall not be liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures, labor disruptions, or other unforeseen events.
Limitation of Liability
The 23rd Bite's liability shall not exceed the total amount paid under the service agreement.

Returned payments may incur additional fees.
GENERAL POLICY
At The 23rd Bite, we are committed to delivering an exceptional culinary experience with professionalism, transparency, and the highest standards of service. By booking any service with The 23rd Bite, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these policies.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service in cases involving unsafe, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior toward our team or guests.

Pricing is subject to change until a service agreement or contract has been signed by both parties. Once a signed agreement is in place, pricing will remain as outlined in the contract unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

All food is prepared in accordance with applicable health department regulations and recognized food safety standards.

The 23rd Bite maintains all required business licenses, permits, and insurance as required by applicable laws and regulations.

These policies apply to all private dining experiences, catering services, meal preparation, cooking classes, and special events unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
